The Beginning

Salmon Arm, BC

Born and raised in the Shuswap region of British Columbia. A small town surrounded by mountains, lakes, and endless opportunities to explore the outdoors.

Finding Direction

SAS Sullivan Campus · 2018 – 2022

Completed high school through the French Immersion program, earning a Dual Dogwood Diploma. Discovered a deep interest in programming, networking, and building things with technology.

Early Technical Foundation

Okanagan College, Kelowna · 2020 – 2021

While still in high school, completed the Gateway to Technology and ITUS Networking & Technologies programs. Gained hands-on experience with server administration, DNS, networking infrastructure, and IT fundamentals — building a technical foundation well ahead of schedule.

First Industry Experience

Raptor Integration, Canoe · Summers 2022+

Started co-op terms every summer right out of high school. First real exposure to professional software engineering — building production applications with C#/.NET, working with real codebases, and shipping software that matters.

The Degree

University of Victoria · 2022 – 2026

Moved to Vancouver Island to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Four hours from home — a deep dive into algorithms, systems design, software engineering, and the theoretical foundations that tie everything together.

Full Circle

Raptor Integration, Canoe · 2026 – Present

Returned full-time as a Software Engineer — back where it all started, but with a degree and years of experience. Now leading work on real-time WebSocket systems, performance optimization, legacy modernization, and direct client delivery.
