My Journey
Scroll to trace the path through British Columbia that shaped my career.
The Beginning
Salmon Arm, BC
Born and raised in the Shuswap region of British Columbia. A small town surrounded by mountains, lakes, and endless opportunities to explore the outdoors.
Finding Direction
SAS Sullivan Campus · 2018 – 2022
Completed high school through the French Immersion program, earning a Dual Dogwood Diploma. Discovered a deep interest in programming, networking, and building things with technology.
Early Technical Foundation
Okanagan College, Kelowna · 2020 – 2021
While still in high school, completed the Gateway to Technology and ITUS Networking & Technologies programs. Gained hands-on experience with server administration, DNS, networking infrastructure, and IT fundamentals — building a technical foundation well ahead of schedule.
First Industry Experience
Raptor Integration, Canoe · Summers 2022+
Started co-op terms every summer right out of high school. First real exposure to professional software engineering — building production applications with C#/.NET, working with real codebases, and shipping software that matters.
The Degree
University of Victoria · 2022 – 2026
Moved to Vancouver Island to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Four hours from home — a deep dive into algorithms, systems design, software engineering, and the theoretical foundations that tie everything together.
Full Circle
Raptor Integration, Canoe · 2026 – Present
Returned full-time as a Software Engineer — back where it all started, but with a degree and years of experience. Now leading work on real-time WebSocket systems, performance optimization, legacy modernization, and direct client delivery.
